Hola everyone from the sun, sand, surf and mountains of Costa Rica. We hope you are doing well up north and survived the bitter polar vortex that made its way all the way down to Texas. What a brutal hit for our friends in that great State. 

The real estate market down here is really heating up as we are seeing lots of sales a large number of condos in the $40,000 to $130,00 range to from million dollar plus homes. Las Palmas in Playas del Coco is really seeing a lot of action as people are buying for investment purposes, get-away trips or just to have a piece of paradise. Our inventory is rapidly depleting. So if you are looking for a great economically priced condo within walking distance to the beach, store and downtown, do not hesitate as they are selling fast.  We have a nice selection of new ocean view villas as well.  Price wise, they are quite reasonable when compared with Hawaii or California, that is for sure!

You do NOT need a COVID test to enter Costa Rica.

However, you do need the following requirements:
  • COVID medical insurance coverage of $20,000 USD (if using insurance provided by a Costa Rican insurance company) or $50,000 USD (if using insurance provided by any other country)
  • $2,000 USD accommodation coverage should you be required to be quarantined for 14 days in a hotel
  • Online Health Pass -  - enter your insurance policy number to generate a QR code to show before boarding the airplane and at immigration in Costa Rica
  • A valid passport
  • Proof of intent to exit the country (an outbound ticket) within 90 days
Many countries require a negative COVID test prior to boarding the plane for departure from Costa Rica.  Below are a couple of suggestions for test facilities in the Papagayo Region.
